PURPOSE OF THE ETHICS COMMITTEE
– monitoring compliance with professional boundaries and ethical standards.
TASK OF THE ETHICS COMMITTEE
– to protect both clients and professionals from improper enforcement of the Code of Ethics by third parties.
FUNCTIONS OF THE ETHICS COMMITTEE
1 Monitoring of compliance by members of the WPA with the Code of Ethics;
Review and management of conflict situations between the client and the psychologist, member of the WPA;
2 Review and management of conflict situations between fellow psychologists within the WPA professional community;
Clarification of the provisions of the Code of Ethics and advising on issues arising from the Code of Ethics and its implementation among specialists and clients;
Improving and refining the Code of Ethics as necessary and to adapt it to current realities;
Informing the public about the ethics of professional psychological care.
